Big Disappointment 2008-11-16 I never thought I would be sorry after buying a BOOK from Amazon - the greatest disappointment! At least HALF OF IT is missing - sections 2 and 3. I have ordered 2 books on more or less the same subject- performance measurement- and both of them have the same FAULTS - missing pages! And I have paid a lot of shipping taxes from USA to Romania for WHAT?
One thing is clear now for me: no more online shopping with Amazon!
There are better books available 2008-09-28 I was hoping this would take the "Effective Phrases for Performance Appraisals" a little bit further in content. Unfortunately, it didn't deliver like I had expected. I consult other aids before this one.
helped my wife a lot 2008-03-14 we bought this and 2 other related books to help my wife with her employee performance reviews. before i use to just help her out but since her team grew and our schedules were just to hectic, i didn't have time to help her out. so this and the two other related books helped a lot.
BJH 2008-02-22 This is a very helpful book when you need to write your own perfomance objectives. It is also useful if you are a manger writing objectives for your staff.
Not What I thought it would be 2008-02-01 For some strange reason I thought that this would be more objectively based (measurements etc) giving examples of how to set SMART goals. But the Goals are very subjective, many Motherhood and apple pie, but they probabaly work well with the Companion book on performance review Phrases. I would have thought a better title would have been Setting performance objectives. An onbjective to my mind is something like. Improve your Quality", the goal should be something like 1 defect per 500 opportunities (Not six sigma I know!)
