Contemporary research in strategic management, with an emphasis on conceptual tools and skills created by scholars and practitioners in the field are evident throughout STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT, 10e. Pearce and Robinson have retained high level of academic credibility and market-leading emphasis on strategic practice with this edition. This text continues to have strong support from longtime adopters and growing support in schools with a desire to provide straightforward treatment of strategic management with a practical, systematic approach. The 10th edition will once again include numerous Business Week short cases and a wide assortment of traditional, longer strategic management cases. Pearce and Robinson continue to use a unique pedagogical model they created to provide logic and structure to its treatment of strategic management which in turn makes the material more easily organized by the instructor and learned by the student. A very practical book 2008-08-15 Professors Pearce and Robinson have presented a very clear mapping of the design of business strategies, their realization and also their measurement. This latest edition (i.e., the 10th Edition) expands on previous editions to emphasize more on contemporary conceptual tools and the skills which are essential in the field of strategic management. Like most previous editions, the book also comes with many Business Week and strategic management cases from the trenches. [Nwankama W Nwankama]
Well-conceived strategic planning presentation 1999-09-17 Strategic planning as a process is nicely presented in this well written textbook. As an instructor of strategic planning at the master's level, I find the students like the book and cases and are able to create competent strategic plans using the process described. Very good resource book; one I have kept on my reference shelf.
