Editorial Review:
New York Times bestselling author and medical intuitive Caroline Myss has found that when people don’t understand their purpose in life the result can be depression, anxiety, fatigue, and eventually physical illness—in short, a spiritual malaise of epidemic proportions. Myss’s experience of working with people led her to develop an insightful and ingenious process for deciphering your own Sacred Contract—or higher purpose—using a new theory of archetypes that builds on the works of Jung, Plato, and many other contemporary thinkers.
Myss examines the lives of the spiritual masters and prophets—Abraham, Jesus, Buddha, and Muhammad—whose archetypal journeys illustrate the four stages of a Sacred Contract and provide clues for discovering your own. Myss explains how you can identify your particular spiritual energies, or archetypes—the gatekeepers of your higher purpose—and use them to help you find out what you are here on earth to learn and whom you are meant to meet. Exploring your Sacred Contract will shine a light on the purpose and meaning of your life. You are meant to do certain tasks, you are meant to have certain relationships.
In coming to know your archetypal companions, you also begin to see how to live your life in ways that make the best use of your personal power and lead you to fulfill your greatest—in fact, your divine—potential.
Both visionary and practical, Sacred Contracts is a bold, powerful work of spiritual wisdom. Without a doubt, your most intriguing challenge in life is to recognize your spiritual commitments and live them to the fullest. Cached date: AWS Called=true

Amazingly quick response time! 2008-05-27 The seller sent this order right out and was amazed at how quickly I received this book. It arrived in excellent condition. Will use this seller again!
A decent book to have in your library. 2008-04-30 This is a good book to have in your library if you currently don't have an archetype book. I can't say that I learned a lot, but I do think that it is a good reference to have available. This doesn't compare to Anatomy of the Spirit which I consider to be a classic. This isn't a book that you sit down and read right through although Caroline Myss does make an attempt to make the book more than a reference. I do like the way she give individual stories in the book to make it more personal and interesting.
Amazing material 2008-02-24 This is the first audio I've heard from Caroline Myss. Her style is direct and no-nonsense and the content is enlightening. If you are looking for another tool through which to learn more about yourself, this cd set is a perfect introduction to contracts and archetypes.
Classic Wonder 2008-01-25 The material in this book is awesome - so much is offered for the reader to become well acquainted with archetypes and to chart one's own wheel.
Not as Compelling or Interesting 2007-12-13 I finished reading Caroline Myss' book and actually forced myself to finish the last several pages. Though I did sit down and do a 'Wheel' of Archetypes, and learned more about myself I grew tired of her analysis of others' and their wheels. I got to the point, I didn't care any more. Previously I enjoyed her personal stories in 'Anatomy of Spirit' and in 'Invisible Acts of Power' though she repeated stories and it is best to avoid that pitfall. I am less inclined to buy any more of her books as I feel she is cashing in on her popularity. Time to step back and take a break. Liz-Roy Broerse
