Editorial Review:
This book follows the ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) Body of Knowledge exactly and is designed to walk the reader through at a medium-level of detail. Organization of the material is completely straightforward— broken down into "bite-size" chunks with the student in mind. While a plethora of books claim some relation to Six Sigma, unfortunately very few of them support the body of knowledge explicitly. The author supplies the Black Belt candidate with enough information to pursue the CSSBB examination aggressively, with the material in the book and also the ancillary works referenced. At the end of each chapter are one or two titles for further reading, works that the author owns personally and uses for both work and formal examination study. The book can serve as an intense, high-speed tutorial for the CSSBB examination, a reference for the working Black Belt, or a resource to find further reading. Trainers could use it in their Black Belt certification preparation classes. Cached date: AWS Called=true

A CSSBB Guidebook Review 2007-03-30 People,
In my opinion this book is realist with it purpose, it is just a guidebook, a good reference to the BOK from ASQ. Don't buy if you want to use it as a main reference, buy it if you want a book to guide you what to study, other references on each subject, etc. Generaly it is a good reference book.
MathCad Support for Book 2006-08-17 A thank you to MathCad (Mathsoft, now PTC) was inadvertently dropped from the preface of the book. The MathCad product was important to correctly representing various conditions of probabiliy density functions. I use the product every day in my day job, particularly with complex calculations related to warranty analysis.
Great book, wonderful resource 2006-04-20 This book provides a comprehensive review of the history of the "fathers of the quality movement" and their contributions as well as quality processes. It even covers the project management aspects of delivering a project in a way to guarantee the quality of the deliverables, drawing from the Project Management Body of Knowledge. The book format mirrors the outline of the ASQ Body of Knowledge. This book is an easy read and refers to a number of books as additional resource for preparing for the exam.
Great book to have on your shelf for Six Sigma reference and assisting in passing the ASQ CSSBB test 2006-03-28 I recently passed the ASQ Certified Black Belt exam and I give this book "Six Sigma For The Next Millennium" much of the credit in preparing me for the exam and 5 stars. The amount of detail the book goes into is perfect and follows right along with the ASQ Body of Knowledge for the exam from ASQ. It is also a super book to have on your shelf for reference. The references provided at the end of each chapter are outstanding if you need to dive further into a certain area of Six Sigma. Simply said; this is a great book.
